    Frequently Asked Questions on Meralco Liwanag Card






    What is the Meralco Liwanag Card?

    The Liwanag Card is a privilege-cum-loyalty card program of Meralco in partnership with Finserve. The primary purpose and functionality of the cards is to reward consistently prompt paying residential customers with average monthly electricity consumption greater than 800 kilowatt-hours.

    The unique offer of the card is Liwanag Express Service:

    • Express lane at the Branches
    • Express hotline service 632-8188
    • Priority service expect during calamities







    How does one avail of the card?

    The card is by invitation only. Those qualified will receive a letter of invitation and enrollment form, which must be filled out and returned to Meralco for card processing.

    The Meralco Liwanag Card is free of charge.






    Are there other documents to submit other than the enrollment form?

    If the name does not match the account name on the Meralco bill, the customers must submit supporting documents, to prove he is the user of the electric service.






    How does one submit the enrollment form and supporting document(s)?

    Completed enrollment forms and supporting documents must be mailed to Meralco Liwanag Card c/o Meralco Financial Services, P.O. Box 14267, Ortigas Center Post Office, 1605 Pasig City.

    Can anyone else use the card?

    The card is non-transferable, and only the person whose name appears on the card can avail of the benefits and privileges.






    What must one do if the card is lost or stolen?

    In case of loss or theft of the card, please report this to Liwanag Card Hotline 632-8188 and request for a replacement card.

    There will be a card replacement fee of PhP 130.00 which will have to be paid upon card pick-up at the Liwanag Card Customer Care Center, 2/F Lopez Building, Meralco Center, Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City.






    What happens after the card expires?

    The card is valid for one year from the date of issue. Meralco has the prerogative to cancel the card if there is a violation of service contract with Meralco during the validity of the card.

    Before the card’s expiry date, a holder will receive a new invitation to avail of a new card if he:

    • Continues to pay his electric bill on or before the due date every month; and
    • Maintains an average monthly electricity consumption of 800 kilowatt-hours and above during the validity of the card.
    If he fails to do so, he can still enjoy the benefits and privileges of the card until the expiry date, but he will not receive a new invitation when it expires until consistent prompt payment of bills for 12 consecutive months is shown again.
